National Parks are back on travel agendas as people take more local road trips and explore the United States. Inspiration for the New Balance Made in USA National Parks collection comes from the natural environment of the parks themselves, mixed with classic outdoor details such as speckle mid-soles and flecked laces. Warm brown hits are reminiscent of rugged hikers, while colors are influenced by the colors and intricate patterns seen in vintage camp blankets, as well as the blues, greens and neutrals in the land, sea and sky. To distinguish the collection from previous Made in USA styles, each shoe includes a traditional trail marker icon on the insert indicating it as a part of the National Parks pack.

The Made in USA National Parks collection offers the classic New Balance material execution and technical treatment for each style: the 1300 offers a nubuck upper and ENCAP® mid-sole for support and durability; the 998 offers a suede and mesh upper with Abzorb® and EVA for cushioning; the 996 offers a suede and mesh upper with an ENCAP® mid-sole; and, the classic 990 features a suede and mesh upper with EVA mid-sole and Vibram® outsole.
