The New Balance 991 celebrates its 20th anniversary with updated premium materials boasting genuine pigskin suede in combination with materials sourced in the UK.  Special 20th anniversary woven label at tongue.  Additional details include an embroidered origin year "2001" at the heel with reflective overlays throughout the uppers.  The midsole unit combines a ENCAP cushioning with an encapsulated carbon fiber plate for torsional support and a new rubberized outsole for a new style of grip.
