The NikeLab NRG M65 Jacket reworks the military piece with water-resistant textiles and taped seam constructions to keep you dry in wet and rainy weather. The outer layer is comprised of a high density polyester nylon composite with a fairly smooth texture and can repel water on contact. The fabric has been garment dyed to achieve a deep hue of colour. Storage-wise, the jacket has two top flap chest pockets with snap closures, two top flap hand pockets with snap closures and side entries and one zip inner pocket. The collar holds a stow-away hood which can be deployed via zip entry and can be adjusted with toggles. The cuffs can sealed via velcro and the front fastening is closed with both snap closures and a front zip fastening.

Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by Bill Bowerman, a track-and-field coach at the University of Oregon, and his former student Phil Knight. They opened their first retail outlet in 1966 and launched the Nike brand shoe in 1972. The company was renamed Nike, Inc., in 1978 and went public two years later. By the early 21st century, Nike had retail outlets and distributors in more than 170 countries, and its logo—a curved check mark called the “swoosh”—was recognized throughout the world.
