“They can’t win until we quit” and that’s exactly right. Michael Jordan lead the Bulls to defeat the Utah Jazz in the 1998 NBA Championship Finals. Donning the Air Jordan 13 for the first four and a half games, the Jumpman himself decided to switch to his Air Jordan 14 for the second half of game 5 to seal the deal. With just 5.2 seconds left on the clock after Jordan’s “last shot”, the Bulls successfully defended against their opponent and went onto gain their sixth NBA championship. The bulls were awarded the golden championship trophy that day and it makes sense that Air Jordan share that golden memory with two iconic Jordan pairs worn during the finals.
The Air Jordan DMP Pack consists of two pairs. First, the Air Jordan 13 Retro DMP is crafted with a premium white leather upper with metallic gold patent leather accents. The Jumpman jewel features the number 98 instead of 23 with the graphic print “you can’t win until we quit” lined up along the inner tongues. Contrasting the bright gold and white is the black and gold Air Jordan 14 Retro DMP which shows off a premium black leather upper with perforations along the ribbed panels and gold foil branding. Gold Ferrari-like Jordan pendant at the ankle and gold detailing at the outsole shank. Similar to the 13, the number 23 is swapped out for 98 on the insignia to acknowledge the special year.
